The idea

A day of yoga, cacao, sound and dancing — completely alcohol and drug free — in the extraordinary Abbey Tithe Barn.

Soul Medicine is a day into evening journey — a carefully built arc that takes you from a gentle morning flow, out into the Dorset air, through sound and stillness, and finishes with a proper dance.

It all happens inside the Abbey Tithe Barn: 700 years of stone and oak, a sound system, lights, and a room full of people who want exactly what you want. Everything is alcohol and drug free, which is the whole point — the lift you leave with is entirely your own.

Come for the whole day, join us just for the evening rave, or take the daytime and head home before the beats start. Plenty of people arrive on their own; almost nobody leaves feeling like they did.

Yoga for every body

An uplifting morning flow and a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra. No experience needed — everything is offered with options.

Sound bath & cacao

Crystal singing bowls, gong and aromatherapy, plus ceremonial raw cacao served through the day.

Sober rave

DJ Andy Cleeton on house and dance classics, a sober bar, lights and a barn built for sound.

Walk to the Chapel

An optional walk up to St Catherine's Chapel between sessions, with the whole of Chesil Beach below you.

The plan

How the day flows

  1. 10:00

    Doors, tea & settling in

Find your spot, roll out your mat, meet a few people.

  2. 10:30

    Opening circle & cacao

A short welcome and a cup of ceremonial cacao to land.

  3. 11:00

    Uplifting yoga flow

A warm, music-led vinyasa flow. All levels, all options given.

  4. 12:30

    Lunch

Catered by Cherries Cafe if you have added meals, or bring your own.

  5. 13:30

Walk to St Catherine's Chapel Optional

Optional — roughly an hour there and back.

  6. 15:00

    Yoga Nidra & sound bath

Blankets, bolsters, singing bowls and gong. Bring everything cosy you own.

  7. 16:00

    Daytime close

Daytime-only guests head off; a break and a reset for everyone staying.

  8. 17:30

    Evening doors & sober bar

Evening-only guests arrive. Cacao, soft drinks and a slow build.

  9. 18:00

Sober rave with DJ Andy Cleeton

House and dance classics, lights on, phones down.

  10. 21:00

    Close

A last stretch, a last song, and out into the Dorset night.

Timings are a guide — the day breathes a little depending on the room.

What to bring

  • A yoga mat (a few spares available — ask when you book)
  • A blanket, cushion or bolster for the sound bath
  • Layers — the barn is beautiful and it is also a barn
  • A water bottle
  • Lunch, if you have not added the catered option
  • Anything that makes a floor feel like home

Good to know

  • The event is completely alcohol and drug free.
  • Sound healing is not recommended if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, epilepsy, or are managing a severe mental health condition — please talk to us first.
  • The barn floor is uneven in places and there is a short gravel approach; message us about access needs and we will sort it.
  • Coming on your own is normal here. Say so when you arrive and we will make sure you are looked after.

What people say afterwards

I came on my own and spent the whole day feeling looked after. By the evening I was dancing like nobody was watching, which — genuinely — nobody was.
Previous guest
The sound bath in that barn is something else. I have not slept that well in months.
Previous guest
Thoughtfully planned from start to finish. You can tell how much care goes into it.

Questions

Before you book

Do I need to have done yoga before?

No. Every session is taught with options, and there is no expectation that you do all of it. Rest whenever you want to.

Can I come on my own?

Yes, and lots of people do. Tell us at the door and we will introduce you to a few faces before we start.

Is it really alcohol free?

Completely. The bar serves cacao, soft drinks and hot drinks. It is the thing people are most sceptical about and most surprised by.

Can I just come to the rave?

Yes — the evening ticket covers 5:30pm to 9:00pm and is the easiest way in if the daytime feels like a lot for a first time.

Where can I stay nearby?

Abbotsbury and Weymouth both have plenty of options within fifteen minutes. Get in touch if you would like a couple of recommendations.

What if I need to cancel?

CONFIRM: cancellation and transfer terms to be agreed with Saira and stated here.
